Free MP3 Utilities

MP3Gain
Great for increasing the volume on your audio files without affecting the quality* (see the FAQ for more info).
*Note: Files will sound good on the Yepp but clipping may be detectable when listening to them on your computer or if you burn them to CD. Make copies of the files you want to raise the volume on and then apply the MP3Gain only to the copies that are going to your MP3 Player. Alternatively, you can avoid most issues by not setting MP3Gain to higher than 89db, but from my personal experience 100db is the best setting, at least for the YP-55 series.

Siren
Great for renaming groups of files quickly and easily
(see the FAQ for more info).

CDex

Excellent at Re-encoding Audio Files (reducing the bit rate to save space) and ripping CDs.
(see the FAQ for more info).

MP3 Direct Cut

A good program for editting audio files to remove gaps, split into multiple files, change the volume on certain portions, or many other useful things.

Cool MP3 Splitter

A program that is designed to split files into any number of files quickly and efficiently, with no file loss. It also produces a Combine batch file to recreate the original non-segmented MP3 file exactly, and it's fully compatible with the YP-55 (unlike some other MP3 Splitter programs)
