2. Uninstall all previous Yepp software (excluding Lyric Station)
3. Extract the zip archive you downloaded and run the Setup.exe program in it.
2. Remove the battery of your YP-MT6
3. Attach USB Cord to your YP-MT6 (Don't connect it to the computer yet)
4. Start PC updater software
5. Hold down the YP-MT6's 'Play/ON' Button for 5 seconds, then connect the other end of the USB cord to the computer. Continue holding down the 'Play/ON' button for another 5-10 seconds until you see a message saying 'Recovery Device Detected.'
6. Check if the Firmware program detects your player as a recovery device. If it does, you can now release the Play button.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions and read everything carefully to make sure you understand them. If you do this wrong it has the potential to kill your Player.
8. Relax and wait. The status bar will probably get stuck once or twice while installing but don't panic, thats normal. It shouldn't taken more than 1 or 2 minutes to complete the upgrade.
9. Enjoy the new features of Firmware
2) Remove battery from player.
3) Hold Play/Start button on the player, plug it in still holding the button.
4) Start the updater. It finds the Recovery Device. I let go the Play/Start button.
5) I updated both times with the option of formatting the data area.
6) Once updated, I copied back the tracks, then I fired it up to reset my settings. Done.
